We’re on a MISSION to see ALL 50 STATES (+ DC and Puerto Rico)!

Hey Guys! What a great idea to visit all the states, and well, maybe an obvious choice now that you have your van!

I believe you said you’re gonna re-visit California, your favorite state, and I imagine touring NorCal may be in the plans, and if so, I know a guy 😆 I trust that you would reach out to us when that time comes, but for now, two areas I would explore in NorCal, “off” the beaten path and less touristy, is Highway 1 north of SF. I am talking from Bodega Bay to Fort Bragg on Highway 1, or vice-versa depending on which way you’ll be traveling from.

The other region is the Gold Country in the Sierra foothills. Certainly, a ton of history, and is very beautiful and often overlooked by folks visiting the state. We are very much in touch with historic Highway 49 from Nevada City south to Sonora, and that is the way to Yosemite, an area we are not too familiar with (Yosemite).

We wouldn’t be of much help as far as “stays” being that you will be looking for camping grounds/RV parks 😂If you need hotels/Inn’s/AirBnb’s, yes, certainly.

The only other state outside of California we “may” be of help, would be Idaho being that we were there this past Summer. I do have a video coming out ANY day about our Summer trip to Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Nevada, 2022. It’s gonna be a 30+ minute long video, a video I have been working on little by little, because I’m really not in a hurry to put it out, as it’s not our niche, right? I don’t expect it to be viewed very much as it really will be for our friends and family, and our few loyal followers will certainly watch.

This trip we took in 2022, we also did in 2019, both times revolving around our weekend music EDM festival at the Gorge Amphitheater. In 2019, after the event, we headed to Gig Harbor, Washington (and Lincoln City, OR) , and I believe you used to live in the Seattle area, so no need for us to recommend anything there as I am pretty sure you have that area dialed in. But, this year, after the music event, we traveled to Idaho and came home through Nevada.

Soooo, lets talk, “Idaho.” Beautiful, certainly. Will we go back, not likely. I wanted to say this in my upcoming video, but, would likely get negative comments. In Northern Idaho, it felt, “odd.” Trying to find the right word to explain. We had an AirBnB, first in Sandpoint for a few days, and then headed south and stayed in Donnelly. The oddity for us was simply put, there was NO diversity, at all. We were not affected by it, well, because we are caucasian, but Patti and I felt, what if we were not? Would we feel comfortable, no.

Sandpoint is in the “panhandle” of Idaho up north. Donnelly is south by 6 hours. Both of our stays were fantastic and you will see that in the video. We spent our last day/night in Boise. Boise is CLEARLY more diverse, and we felt so much more at ease. Again, not sure why we felt just, “ick” up north. You like the word, “ick” 😆 That’s all I got! In our upcoming video, I wanted to address this, but, felt, maybe it was not the medium to do as such.

One final note, I did a ton of research on Idaho in planning for our trip. Sandpoint came up as a quiet, “off the beaten path” place, which it certainly was, and we also chose Sandpoint for its proximity coming from the music event. On the way, we did stop off for a short tour of Coeur d’Alene. If your travels take you to the northern part of Idaho, Coeur d’Alene certainly follows in the more diverse category of Boise. Also, a close friend of ours lives there and he works at the “famous” https://www.cdaresort.com/ and it would be fun to hook you guys up, even for lunch, maybe while he is working (He is a server).

That’s what I have for you two! We really look forward to following along with your travels. Oh, oh, sidenote here. This same music festival we went to in 2019 and 2022, is happening again in 2023, July 21-23, and although we are NOT likely to make it a two-week vacation like the previous two times, we will likely be there until the 25th, so, if you’re in the area??? Cheers! 🥤
